With Microsoft's long anticipated new operating system: Windows Vista on the shelves from today, how much memory will your pc require? Realistically, for optimal performance anything above 2GB of memory will be suited for the higher end editions, while 1GB will be optimal for the Home Basic edition. The advanced graphical interface and new background services (that take up quite a bit of memory before the first application is opened) is why the extra amount of memory is required to run the various editions of Windows Vista. The new unique pocketPHILM brings your personal digital photos to life. The pocketPHILM creates a personalized video with music in just three simple steps. You simply plug it into a computer and add your favorite photos that you have taken with your digital camera. And all this takes less than 1 minute!
Up to 5 photo shows with 50 personal digital photos combine with your own or provided music. Take the best photos from your holiday, birthday party or trip to the zoo - and turn them into a fantastic "philm" show in less than a minute! Simply transfer your photos from the camera to the computer - where they're normally stored anyway - and plug the SWISSMEMORY™ pocketPHILM™ USB stick in to the PC: The software installed on the stick starts automatically. Select your favourite pictures - which the pocketPHILM™ programme will find on the PC autonomously. Then choose some suitable background music from a preselection on the stick or by downloading your own MP3 songs. And you're done! SWISSMEMORY™'s pocketPHILM™ will create a movie from your own photos and music. An extra highlight: The finished piece is stored on the USB stick so you can easily take it with you wherever you go and show your friends, acquaintances and colleagues.
It's child's play. You can group up to 50 digital photos into a film show at the click of a mouse. There are, of course, five different film versions that can be created and stored on the 512MB SWISSMEMORY™ pocketPHILM USB stick. And there's a superb side-effect: Thanks to the philm show technology, you can fit far more photos on the USB stick than with the conventional file format. Even playing back the finished films is fully intuitive and possible without poring over the instructions. The play, fast-forward, rewind, pause and volume control functions appear automatically during the shows if you move the cursor of the computer's mouse over the screen. Otherwise, the menu remains hidden to ensure that it doesn't disturb the show. Of course, the 512MB SWISSMEMORY™ USB stick can also be used as a normal data store.
The software was developed by Swissbit's US partner, T'emogique Inc., and combined with one of the current top SWISSMEMORY™ USB sticks. The extremely fast data transfer from stick to computer and vice versa ensures that it is easy to handle and the philm shows play smoothly.
