It is dependent on the computer system not on the type of memory. Most computers will slow a module and run it at the correct speed. However it is not a 100% guarantee. We ship hundreds of modules every day, we need to ship the right speed to guarantee compatibility. Please match your speed memory.
This is a common misconception. A faster module will not run faster. It will run as fast as the slowest memory installed. So if you have 100Mhz installed, a 133Mhz memory will only run the speed of a 100Mhz memory RAM. However, extra memory will make the computer run faster!
